Principal's Welcome

{title}
Welcome to the 2017-18 school year at the Early Leaning Center at Park Hills! I look forward to working with our dedicated staff, parents, and community to establish a strong foundation and true love for learning for our prescholars. It is our goal to implement innovations and programs that will expose students to various opportunities that will build on world class knowledge, world class skills, and life and career characteristics which are essential in creating productive citizens.
We will work collaboratively to create a safe, nurturing, engaging, and fun environment that is conducive to learning. As educators, we are charged with the responsibility of giving our children the roots to grow and wings to fly. I wholeheartedly welcome questions, concerns, or input to better foster our home-school relationship. I am eagerly anticipating a successful and exciting year for our ELC Butterflies!

D7 Student Scores Big Win to Clemson Carolina Game

D7 Student Scores Big Win to Clemson Carolina Game
You’ve heard the expression - reading will take you places. Well, 10 year-old Ty’Kerian Walker was banking on that happening when she entered a SC Department of Education competition called Read Your Way to the Big Game. In a surprise assembly at Pine Street School today, it was announced Ty’Kerian is the grand prizewinner of 4 tickets to the Clemson vs. Carolina game. To be eligible for the contest, students in kindergarten through eighth grade are required to read six books. As one of the two state winners, selected from more than 50,000 entrants, Ty’Kerian will be treated to sideline passes before the game and pictures with the mascots from Clemson and Carolina. As part of the big reveal the Clemson Tiger joined in the fun at Pine Street, as students and staff celebrated Ty’kerian’s win and wagered their bets on the victor of this weekend’s infamous college rivalry.
