Principal's Welcome

{title}
Welcome to the 2017-18 school year at the Early Leaning Center at Park Hills! I look forward to working with our dedicated staff, parents, and community to establish a strong foundation and true love for learning for our prescholars. It is our goal to implement innovations and programs that will expose students to various opportunities that will build on world class knowledge, world class skills, and life and career characteristics which are essential in creating productive citizens.
We will work collaboratively to create a safe, nurturing, engaging, and fun environment that is conducive to learning. As educators, we are charged with the responsibility of giving our children the roots to grow and wings to fly. I wholeheartedly welcome questions, concerns, or input to better foster our home-school relationship. I am eagerly anticipating a successful and exciting year for our ELC Butterflies!

August 2017 Eclipse - Are you Ready?

August 2017 Eclipse - Are you Ready?
The clock is counting down to the 2017 Solar Eclipse. Spartanburg County and parts of surrounding counties will be in the path of totality for this awe-inspiring eclipse of the Sun on August 21, 2017. The rest of the Eastern United States will see only a partial eclipse. This spectacular event will engulf Spartanburg at 2:39PM (EST) in a dark shadow for around two minutes, giving observers a once in a lifetime celestial experience!
A total solar eclipse is when the Sun is covered entirely by the Moon, the sky deeply darkens, the temperature cools, and the Sun’s corona becomes visible. To find out the exact time of the start and end of the eclipse and totality for your specific area, use the following resource:NASA Eclipse 2017
To help you prepare your students (and yourself) for this once-in-a-lifetime experience, Spartanburg County Schools is happy to share these resources. Read More
